This is an EDU Voice Thread that I created for my 4th and 5th grade science classes. They are going to video conference with
The Education Department of the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The videoconference session entitled, “Meet Ben Franklin" in an interactive presentation by Historical Impressionist Art Yeaman about Benjamin Franklin’s life. The session will include the 1752 Kite Story and his contributions as a civic leader, inventor, statesman, diplomat, and writer; as well as founder of a library, hospital, fire company, and a school. The Voice Thread has Discovery Streaming clips embedded and will help build background knowledge for my students before they attend the video conference. The photographs are from the New York Public LIbrary and can be uploaded into VoiceThread with a single click. After the students attend the video conference they can leave their comments on the VoiceThread to share what they have learned.
